Safe City Initiative

The City of La Marque is hosting a Safe City Initiative meeting from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at La Marque High School Gym. The intent is a community conversation and listening opportunity. The format is a combination of an open house and a Q&A.
From 3:00 to 3:30, citizens will be able to visit with members of the City Council and our City leadership team one-on-one. During this time, citizens will be invited to fill out a short questionnaire.
From 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., Mayor Keith Bell, City Manager Tink Jackson and Police Chief Kirk Jackson will address the submitted questions. To submit questions in advance, fill out the online questionnaire at safe.cityoflamarque.org.
The Safe City Initiative meeting is open to the public. Masks are required, temperature checks will be administered at the door, and social distancing will be enforced.
The meeting will be live-streamed on the City's YouTube Channel and Channel 16. Local news media, including i45NOW, have confirmed attendance and will document the event.
The City of La Marque will create a post-event video, documenting the meeting and allowing citizens to hear what was said and what questions were addressed.
