Juneteenth Celebration Community Event and La Marque Library Art Show Planned for June 22

In conjunction with the Juneteenth Celebration community event scheduled for Saturday, June 22, La Marque Public Library will explore the history behind Juneteenth with genealogist and art show.

This is a huge community event at Walter Feigle Park, next to La Marque Public Library. Open to the public. Free admission. Free concerts and entertainment. Live Dj. BBQ, Crawfish. Spoken word. We will kick off the largest community Line Dance. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets & let’s have some fun. Contact 409-655-9261 for vendor and food truck registration. 

In conjunction with the Juneteenth Celebration community event, La Marque Public Library will explore the history behind Juneteenth with genealogist, Sharon Gillins from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Experience an art show surrounding the topic "What Freedom Means to Me" from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
